A communist from Vermont hopes to finally turn a profit on one of Jeffre= y Epstein=E2=80=99s little black books.

Christopher Helali bought one of the convicted pedophile=E2=80=99s = infamous address books for $425 off eBay in 2020, from a woman who=E2=80=99= d found it on a Manhattan sidewalk more than two decades ago

It=E2=80=99ll be up for auction in March, when Helali, 36, hopes to get= upwards of $50,000.

It=E2=80=99s a considerable drop from the $100,000 he wanted when he first tried to sell the book in June, and aga= in in August =E2=80=94 the book bombed twice at auction last year.

The 64-page address book, offered along with a forensic examiner=E2=80= =99s report verifying its authenticity, managed to attract a bid over that = asking price last year, but the prospective buyer reportedly got spooked be= fore the deal closed.

=E2=80=9CIt was so radioactive,=E2=80=9D said Bill Panagopulos, presiden= t of Alexander Historical Auctions, who is facilitating the latest sale.

The book, dated October 1997 in a handwritten note, contains names, addr= esses and phone numbers of 349 people =E2=80=94 221 of whom were not named in a later, more infamous little b= lack book Epstein kept, and which was seized by the FBI to investigate the = disgraced financier=E2=80=99s sex crimes. 

Had this one not mysteriously appeared on a Manhattan sidewalk in the 19= 90s, it would have likely had the same fate. 

=E2=80=9CIt=E2=80=99s an item that=E2=80=99s so unique, it=E2=80=99s the= only one that exists of its kind that we know of that=E2=80=99s for the pu= blic,=E2=80=9D said Helali.

Helali a Vermont social studies teacher who ran unsuccessfully for Congr= ess as a member of the Communist party in 2020, now serves as the American = Communist Party=E2=80=99s international secretary.

When the book comes back on the market next month, it=E2=80=99ll be up f= or a public unreserved auction =E2=80=94 meaning there will be no mini= mum asking price.
